Attention to Students Applying for Course Exemption
Important Information Before Applying
Credit: The credit value of the course you have taken must be at least 75% of the credit value of the course for which you are requesting exemption. Courses below this threshold will not be considered equivalent.
Course Content: The course content must have at least 75% similarity. The course titles do not have to be identical.
Language of Instruction: Our department offers 30% English-medium education. A course taken in Turkish cannot be considered equivalent to a course taught in English. The equivalent course must also have been taken in English.
One-Time Application: The exemption application can be submitted only once throughout your entire period of study. Please submit all of your transcripts together; additional courses cannot be added later.
Courses Taken Abroad: Exemption is not granted for courses taken at institutions whose equivalence is not recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
